Wi-Fi Survey: How do you use Wi-Fi (wireless) technologies ?
Mi amigo Riad de la Oregon State University como parte de su trabajo de investigación de maestrÃa esta llevando a cabo una encuesta en lÃnea para encontrar como las personas entienden y usan las tecnologÃas Wi-Fi.
Asà que si alguna vez has usado Wi-Fi, lees en inglés y puedes dedicar unos 10-15 minutos de tu tiempo te recomiendo que contestes la encuesta para ayudar en esta investigación.

Hace tiempo, publique esta nota en mi blog Centro de Investigación en biologÃa Computacional y de Sistemas, mucho antes de saber que estarÃa en Trento algún dÃa de mi vida 
Pues el miércoles pasado fue la inauguración y pues no desaproveche la oportunidad de asistir a un evento asÃ
Bueno el evento en conjunto Microsoft Research y la Universidad de Trento fue muy bueno trajeron al dr. Leroy Hood a dar una platica titulada “Systems Biology: Transforming Biology and Medicine” que no tiene desperdicio, que hasta ganas me dieron de cambiarme de área jeje 
, les pongo el resumen de la platica:
Systems biology is the attempt to view biological systems in a global (all components)
and an integrative (integrate different types of biological information) manner. The
Institute for Systems Biology has pioneered this approach by employing simple model
systems (yeast and halobacteria) to drive the development of new in vitro measurement
technologies (microfluidics and nanotechnology) and new in vivo measurement
technologies (molecular imaging in living organisms), and as well to drive the
development of a host of computational and mathematical tools for analyzing and
integrating large global data sets. I will talk about the development of some of these
tools and some of the biological insights we have gained from the model organisms and
then turn to the discussion of systems approaches to human disease. These approaches
have led to new approaches for diagnostic techniques and new possibilities for drug
target discovery. Over the next 10- to 20-years, the systems approaches to disease and
the new measurement technologies will lead to a medicine that is predictive, preventive
and personalized. This revolution will, in turn, transform the health care industry. I will
discuss these possibilities and explore the implications of the coming digitalization of
medicine.
Y tambi̩n estuvo presente gente de Microsoft como Umberto Paolucci (Senior Chairman Microsoft Europe Middle East Africa РVice President Microsoft Corporation y Presidente Microsoft Italia), Stephen Emmott (Director of the External Research Office, Microsoft Research Cambridge) y Rick Rashid (Senior Vice President Microsoft Corporation y Head of Microsoft Research).
Al final del dÃa Rick Rashid dio una plática muy amena con los estudiantes, y al contrario de lo que parecÃa en la inauguración se porto muy amable, es alguien muy accesible a pesar de su puesto en MS y su trayectoria en la investigación.
